Open-Source

Open source is commercial. At no stage do open source licences preclude the commercial exploitation of the software. Open source licences are anti lock-in. The open source revenue model is one based on a service revenue stream rather than a licence revenue stream.

Open source software is copyright, but released under licences which allow free re-distribution.

The reuse model is merely an extension to the well-accepted idea that developers will have put together a pretty decent toolbox of code chunks. When you’re planning a new application, it merely takes rummaging around in this toolbox and pulling out the components which more closely match your requirements. Open source takes this to the logical conclusion, making the toolboxes of 500,000 other developers available to you.

Environment Friendly

Our programming techniques are meant to facilitate the systematic application of environment-behavior research to the design process.

We support No spam, no splogs, no junk websites, no black-hat promotion techniques. We strongly believe these techniques could bring more harm than revenue, especially in long term.

We believe that internet is about information - providing useful and unique content. We do not believe in “eye-candy” content-free websites. We do not believe in buzzword applications, rebranding and content stealing.

We heavily rely on usage of existing open-source applications and components, just because we do not wish to “invent the wheel”. So we are committed to contribute to open-source community – by releasing our code, providing support, testing and bug reporting, etc.

We know that internet's problem today is not information existence, but its structure. There's a lot of various information on the net today, but because of its unorganized structure it is often hard to find what you are looking for. We do our best to make content searchable and readable by machines, organized and easy to navigate for visitors.
